I am bringing some more updated graphic related to the best keywords

exists.

They may not know to search for, "how to make money as a freelance writer." While they may have writing skills, many people could be hold up in a 9-5 corporate gig working as a secretary - what words or phrases would that customer use to find your site? Maybe she'd search for, "work at home opportunity," or " become a paid writer."

Next brainstorm the benefits of your product. What will it give to your customer - more money? Time? Financial freedom? Security for their family's needs? Go through the list of problems it will solve and brainstorm words associated with those topics.

Sometimes a product will have a celebrity endorsement - even if it's not for your product. For example, someone interested in dieting and weight loss might search for Anna Nicole Smith - not just TrimSpa.

You can ride the coattails of other companies when creating your keywords list - and there's nothing illegal about it! Don't forget about the big name companies, too. TrimSpa could be added to your list of keywords along with Anna Nicole Smith - and anyone searching for dieting and weight loss solutions might be a potential candidate to buy your eBook on How to Stick to Any Diet.

Likewise, list any complementary items someone might be interested in when searching for your product. A person interested in diet and weight loss might be seeking exercise machines and DVDs or workouts clothes.

Think of slang language your consumers might use - don't just list the proper lingo. For example, instead of "music," someone might use the word, "tunes." Visit forums and eavesdrop on your customers if you aren't sure what words use to describe products within your industry.

Use a thesaurus or dictionary to come up with synonyms that may relate to your website's purpose. You can either use a print book or use the free one found at www dot mw dot com Go to www dot bn dot com and www dot amazon dot com and look up books related to your product, service, or site. Browse the table of contents and index to see what other words or phrases are used to describe similar items.

Sometimes you even want to include major cities or states in your keyword list. For example, someone might search for "freelance writing Texas" to find legitimate opportunities in that state.

Your list should be growing by leaps and bounds now - but you're still not finished. Go to www dot google dot com and Google the most relevant word or phrase you can think of to describe your site.

Go to each of the competitors' websites and right-click on the main page to view the source code. A notepad will come up that shows you the HTML code used to create the site.

Notice at the top of the code whether or not the site has a Meta tag says < meta name = "keywords" content = "Here is where the keywords will be found " / >. Now cut and paste that bit of code and see if you've left any of those keywords off your list. If so, add them to your arsenal.

For every keyword you add to your list, make sure you include both singular and plural versions of the words, and if you have verbs, include the tenses - past, present, and future.
